Behold some absolute JOY from @shiftythrifting ! Thank you so much, lovelies!

I purchased two of their generous Junk Boxes, and my wife and I had so much fun looking through them and finding treasures. Going to thrift stores isn't feasible for us at the moment, and this crip-time, space-time treasure hunt was a delight.

Our boxes were Horses and Keychains & Pulls (aka Things With Clips). And they thoughtfully included some random treats as well, like the spectacular Vintage Woman sticker above. I'm guessing the image is from an advertisement or sewing pattern. The promotional keychain is from a Dutch company that makes bag-in-box contraptions for businesses! Naturally.

As you might guess, it's been hard to pick just a few highlights. Below is The Bassett, named for the PG Wodehouse character Madeleine Bassett. She is an earnest, droopy sort of girl, fond of comparing the stars to God's daisy chain. Something about the eyes...

A truly wonderful double haul from Shifty Thrifting. This time I ordered the Kawaii/Anime box & the Halloween box (or kawaii & kowai as I like to think of them).

Everything I received is incredible, but for me the highlights have to be the like-new Pochacco bag, the Keropi plush, the Animal Crossing comic book, the false mustache, the witch finger huzhi, the Beanie Baby Halloweenies, and the recipe card for a "Tres Chique Pic-nique," which requires the use of four Cornish hens.

Tenderheart Bear, whose eyes better be just closed because the alternative is too disturbing to contemplate.

Jabber, who’s turning 26 in October so be sure to wish him a happy birthday then
