Beatlemania apparently not making it to the country. By the time we get to the reprint, Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust anyways.

Juniper Jones and Andy Andrews feel the sting of ridicule, at best foreign novelty. His fashion sense all out of whack on 1950 -- Big yellow shoes, tight pants -- I do see the big yellow shoes but am missing the Wranglers hereabouts.

She took a porcupine to the mouth on Thanksgiving and spent the evening thoroughly drugged. She's fine and almost certainly didn't learn her lesson.

Today's dedication comes from Juniper Jones and The Invincible Summer.

To my younger self and all the kids like her, wishing for books they could see themselves in. This is for you.

3. How did they get the promotion to detective and how did they feel about it?

She worked really hard to get her promotion! She clocked a lot of over time, did a lot of favours and sucking up. She hustled. But now she doesn't feel so good about it. She didn't think she would be seeing this much death so quickly. She didn't think she would feel such pressure. She kind of wishes she had never got detective.

16. Do they have any pets?

She keeps a tropical freshwater fish tank! She has a school of panda corydoras, some ghost shrimp and a blue and green male betta fish called Groucho. But other than that her plants are her babies.

19. What does their apartment look like?

Its colourful and full of antiques and plants! Inside she keeps tropical plants like nerve plants, succulents, cheese plants, ferns, potted palms and outside her windows she has window pots she changes up to grow seasonal flowers. Its kind of cluttered just with the amount of decorations, home made quilts and cross stitched cushions, plants everywhere, scented candles, incense. But she loves it.
