I’ve been working on the dogs’ off-leash, outside-the-yard voice command skillz over the past few months. George is a natural. He’s a good listener, always stays close, and is allowed to come with me all the time while I do things in the front yard and front of the house. - Juniper, on the other hand, has had to sit inside the backyard fence and watch. She’s an escape artist, and a runner, and so I’ve tried to expose her a little at a time to life outside a fence (a lot of that time being on trips to the garbage cans or garage in back or watching George’s freedom in the front yard for good behavior). - Today I thought it was time to give it another try. Juniper was super reluctant to come outside the front gate (because she knows it’s against the rules). But she did... and she ended up getting to come into the front yard TWICE (twice!!)! Both dogs had to listen to me, sit in a couple places I told them in the yard, and stay. AND THERE WAS NO RUNNING! Juniper was a good listener and did exactly what she was supposed to, though on the second outing she ended up getting so excited that she started wrestling George. I’ll take it though. ❤️🌈🙏 #prouddogmom #juniperdoggy #georgiehorse #juniandgeorge #dog #dogs #positivereinforcement #dogtraining #mutt #muttsofinstagram #doggo #pupper #dogstagram #dogsofinstagram #cute #gooddog #instapet #instagood
