Look, I know how some people feel about httyd the nine realms, BUT I feel like some people are sleeping on the idea of Jun and June from TFP being the same person. I mean come on. Imagine a mysterious energon signal coming from nowhere in the middle of the ocean. Imagine something going wrong and Jack getting separated from Team Prime, only to find a literal DRAGON. Wu and Wei find a human boy after so long and… he smells like her. Like their June, their rider, their friend. Jack doesn’t know why this dragon is attached like a magnet but after it helped him find Arcee and get out of there he’s not complaining. The only problem is Wu and Wei REFUSE to leave him alone. This is June’s hatchling! The two were forced to separate after June went back home for medical school but they will NOT leave her baby unprotected (especially if that means they could see her again). Imagine June texting Jack asking when he’ll be home only for Miko (who stole his phone) to send a picture of Wu and Wei sitting on Jack trying to cuddle him. Miko thinks it’s funny. June has a mini crisis and books it to the base. When she gets out of her car and calls to Wu and Wei, time stops. The two dragons stunned to silence before tackling her. The bots almost move to shoot, already wary of the beast that refused to leave Jack’s side, ESPECIALLY when June starts sobbing. But the dragon isn’t hurting her, only putting its two heads close to hers and letting out comforting trills. The two wish they could stay like that, but the rational part of June realizes she needs to speak up. And so, with Wu and Wei at her side after almost a decade, tells the team the story of how dragons were rediscovered by a group of kids, how her and Jack’s uncle Eugene (and maybe Tom’s Jack’s dad but he travels for work I can leave that to interpretation) and their other friends became dragon riders.
And maybe, just maybe, it was time for the dragon club to return. Not to fight a world ending beast like Jormungander, but a different threat that threatens the nine realms
