Part two to "Strange places"

"She should be safe with the elves until they find some apostates to take her in" Hawke sighed as her, Fenris, Anders and Verric made their way back from the hills.

"She should have been turned in and made tranquil" Fenris grumbled, getting a few feet ahead of them before he noticed the others had stopped. He turned to look at them- expecting Anders rage but not expecting Hawkes.

"Shes a child" Hawke snapped, her hand curled around her staff tightly. Fenris wasn't used to her actually being mad at him for his anti mage views on things. Usually she kept a level head and challenged him and spoke against his views with her logic but this was different. This was angry. This was no logic only emotion.

"She was controlling peoples minds Hawke" Fenris said, trying to figure out why she was having a bigger reaction to this. "That isn't something that's okay"

"They were trying to- you should understand where that little girl was coming from more then anyone Fenris" Hawke said, her head shaking before she glared at him with a heat that Fenris couldn't remember ever being aimed at him before. "Circles aren't safe places. And what they were trying to do to that little girl.... I fully support the fact that she wanted to make sure they couldn't" she said, pushing past him as she walked ahead of them.

"No Hawke, mages cant just have that control over people. Yes, their plans were horrible and they deserved what you did to them for it but mages are dangerous and-"

"Then you must think I am such a monster don't you" she said, turning to face him again with a cold face that made his heart sink.

"Hawke-" he tried, for the first time feeling a little regret for his hatred of mages.

"Just don't. Im sure you would just love to see me made tranquil, wouldn't you? Me, Anders, Merrill. All of us. Tranquil. Gone of all emotions. No longer caring about any of you" she said, her eyes narrowed before she scoffed "Just- go back to your sad empty manner Fenris. Im tired of constantly trying to reason with you on this.

"Hawke" he tried again but Anders and Verric both moved to make it so he couldn't follow after her.

"Just let her cool off, broody" Verric said softly as Anders looked all to pleased with the turn of events.
