What's your favourite thing about Sebastian's looks? What is his favourite thing about their looks?

I've been sick so I'm getting to these late! but ty for the ask! Personally i really like the blackout tattoo on Bastian's neck/jaw. Idk why I like it so much, but he feels incomplete without it. And for Bastian his favorite thing is his hair. It represents personal freedom for him, but also he braids his hair each morning as a ritual or meditation. He doesn't follow the Qun, but has a reverence for it. So he treats braiding his hair each morning like he would with binding with the dar-saam.

If Marisol had an opportunity to learn any new skill what would it be? Can be as serious or unserious as she'd like :D

but, in general, Marisol can't cook. i don't think it's because she lacks the ability - she just doesn't really care to learn. as a child living with the woman who took her in, she mostly dealt with just begging for scraps. when the woman sold her to a magister, the scraps for food continued - and her labor for the magister and his cohort never involved kitchen work, and was focused more on her dancing/singing and entertainment uses.

when she's taken in by Viago as a teen, she gets put in the position of suddenly being under the wing of an incredibly wealthy Crow who is also very particular and paranoid. so lmao, meals are prepared for her just as they are for Viago, by a trusted member of House de Riva (i've mentioned her briefly, but it's basically the Villa's house minder, Roshanna de Riva).

so, she's never had reason to cook. and when she's travelling with Varric and Harding before DAtV, she adapts pretty quickly to camp food because it's technically still better than what she grew up with. she doesn't LOVE it, persay, because she got spoiled, but she's pissed off and feeling betrayed enough by Viago that she refuses to use the money he tries to send her thru Varric and she WILL eat Harding's horrific creations just to spite him in her own mind.

i do think she'd enjoy learning to cook - though, specifically, i guess she would probably prefer baking. mostly because she'd enjoy the final product the most. and if she could get a handsome abomination to teach her in a very "hands on" kind of way? then, yes, absolutely.

(Lucanis, meanwhile, will probably eventually kick her out of the kitchen because she's more interested in distracting him than learning after a certain point)

My personal favourite thing in their designs is ten things in a trench coat: the asymmetry. Ghilasara's scar on the right side of her face (as a symbol of changes imposed on her by warden life) + the warden-style skirt on the left side, and Jackdaw's crystal on the left horn + purple face paint on the right side of the face + purple cloth sleeve on the left arm really tickle my brain.

For their own favourite things, Ghilasara would definitely pick her hair. It's her favourite part of her body that she puts the most effort into maintaining :)

How likely is Cyri to pick up interests/ hobbies of their friends? Does she like trying out new stuff as a means of spending time together? How likely is she to share her own hobbies with others? <3

This is a funny question to me because i once said that i fully imagine that post VG and the clean up of Minrathous. Cyri does not know what to do with herself and everyone is saying she should learn to relax and i just imagine a sitcom style montage where she’s trying to learn everyone else’s hobbies but she hates them.

She nicks her finger when wood carving, blows something up in Arlathan trying to tinker with the veil jumpers, falls asleep during Emmrich’s lecture when she was asked to guest speak, she doesn’t have the patience for knitting, she does NOT have a green thumb, she’s pretty good at dragon fighting but it is kind of the opposite of relaxing, and she can only skip rocks for so long before she wants to throw herself into the harbor.

Though realistically i have already established that she loves Tevinter serials (it’s like her guilty pleasure and she’ll insist she knows they’re bad but she is SO invested) so she and Bellara really bond over that. She also looks through Davrin’s monster manual and offers knowledge when she has it. And then i do think she asks Lucanis for a cooking lesson at some point and actually ends up enjoying it. So i definitely think she will try out new things, the question is on whether she enjoys that thing.

I think my favorite thing about Saadrah that isn't part of the background is how I changed the canon background to be a cover story to deflect from her real background, which is being the younger child of a former Ben-Hassrath and a former saarebas (who, incidentally, I turned into a potential Herald in Haven, though he died in the explosion when the Breach opened).

Her favorite memory, though, is from when she was seven. Her family moved around a lot to avoid being taken back to the Qun for her parents' transgressions (namely her mother taking a "dangerous thing," Saadrah's father, from the Qun), and when Saadrah was seven they were living in Seleny. Saadrah met a Crow fledgling while stealing valuables to help feed her family, and ended up befriending him over the span of two weeks before her family had to leave again. She and the fledgling traded daggers to remember each other by, and she still has hers even as an adult and treasures it.
