This grilled tomahawk steak is a show-stopper, with a delicious flavor and a beautiful presentation. The grill's high heat makes a beautiful charred crust, but the inside stays juicy and tender. A simple rub of olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic on the beef brings out its natural flavors, and fresh rosemary and thyme give it a lovely herbal smell.
Ingredients: 1 tomahawk steak about 2-3 pounds. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 teaspoons kosher salt. 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 2 sprigs fresh rosemary. 2 sprigs fresh thyme.
Instructions: Warm the grill up to high heat. Cover the tomahawk steak with minced garlic, salt, pepper, and olive oil. The steak should be medium-rare when you put it on the hot grill and sear it for 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Just before the food is done, add fresh sprigs of rosemary and thyme to the grill. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes after taking it off the grill before cutting it. Cut it up and serve it right away.
