I just picked up the audio book two weeks ago. At first i was convince that there's no way to redeem Carden for what he and his friends did to her. Now I'm kicking my feet every time Jude and Carden are together and rolling my eyes every time they clearly want each other but "He/She is my enemy". I eat it up though lmao.

Ult Bias: I mean. The blog is named after him. Obv he's my ultimate bias. The first time we interacted with him I was like 'okay, yeah no wonder he already has a fandom as a trainee, he's got that rizz.' The first time we had his POV I was floored. I was like, dude, you have layers? And they're crunchy as hell?
Bias Wrecker: I /gen love Moondae so goddamn much dude. He is the heavenly idol. He's the tsundere. He's the meow meow. The alpha and the omega. The dad and the baby. The beginning and the end. The heart and the head. I NEED TO SHAKE HIM RRRRRRRRRRR. Idk how he isn't my ultimate bias but I dug down deep in my gut and he just isn't. But he's really close.
Favorite TeSTAR Member: I mean. Yeah.
Favorite VTIC Member: Judan is SO funny. Otaku the whole time. The anti-Cheongryeo. I actually imagined him more himbo-like but idrc. The moe. The clutch. Also really funny how VTIC aren't actually hostile towards TeSTAR, not even Cheongryeo, they're just edgy mfers who are used to winning.
Favorite Wishze Member: I can't part with Park Moondae, but I LOVE Ryu Gunwoo. God. The life he could've lived. The life he didn't know he could've had. The POTENTIAL. The immaculate vibes. Still, I prefer him as Moondae, if only because he himself prefers a cuter appearance. But I wish we had more time with Gunwoo.
Favorite STier Member: DUDE. Evil Chungwoo was SICK. I mean also really mean, etc., but I really wanted to see more of him too. Chungwoo is probably the last person you'd want to see in a dogfight but. What if. You know. As a treat.
Favorite Group: Is there anyone who's a DoD fan and not a Loviewer?
First TeSTAR Bias: Right up until we interacted with Eugene for the first time.
First VTIC Bias: Mr. Sex rolling in with the bathrobe and 101 regressions. Like dude calm down. We get it. You have sex appeal. You don't have to do it in your time off too.
Most Relatable Fan: Funnily enough, I'm not actually a Kpop fan. I just read a lot of manhwa and knovels and don't discriminate on genres. DoD happened to have good writing. So I think realistically speaking I'm the most similar to Ryu Seojin.
Favorite Female Idol: Minha was going to be my pick, but I find that Youngrin is crunchier and flavorful considering her later interaction with Moondae at the concert where he played hooky. Minha's interactions were funny, but Youngrin's have a complicated flavor, full of nostalgia, unintentional crossing of fates, and the difficulties of switching from a performer to a producer. In a setting where it's difficult to include female characters, I'm glad we saw a female senior who is nuanced and capable. Wish we saw more of her.
Favorite Non-Idol Character: Her graduate student life was too relatable. Not that I have nearly as impressive of credentials.
Favorite Character Arc: You know, I was still more favorable of Ahyeon on the same age line before the reveal. Ahyeon, after his initial arc, was kind of lacking in terms of character development. I think there should've been more moments where it's not his skill but his unique personality that gets them out of sticky situations. Anyways Sejin believing in Moondae really put him in my good graces and Ahyeon's fallen off ever since. This and I love how he's consistently acknowledged that accomplishment was out of his weight class, which it totally was. Dude's got his head screwed on straight.
Favorite Personal Attribute: It's always a good time when their personal traits activate, but it's always the best time when Eugene's kick in gear.
'They're Literally Me': I wouldn't do it for irl kpop, but she's me when it comes to DoD.
'I wish I've seen more of them': Keundal's story doesn't personally resonate with me, and I wish the epilogue was a bit longer. I wanted to see him and Moondae casually interact, how the company reacts to him having an in with the directors, him helping Moondae finding a place to live, etc. A lot of Keundal's arc was eaten up with the system, which I understand is important, but not really the biggest fan of. I came here for the relationships, not the brainworm. So I think I'd like him a lot more if we saw more of him.
Favorite Pairing: Look. Moondae can have the biggest fattest harem ever. But if it's TeSTAR members? They love him too much. I need spice in my yaoi, I need acidity and toxicity and angst. So this works fantastically. Plus I want to see Cheongryeo grovel for realsies (and Moondae suffering is always a good time).
Prettiest + Cutest Character: Sorry Bae Sejin Lee Sejin Seon Ahyeon Ryu Chungwoo Kim Raebin Cha Eugene. Y'all can't compare.
Coolest Character: Anytime he holds a ranged weapon. And anytime he loses his temper. "You pissed off mama she's going to get you now" vibes.
Funniest Character: Raebin is SO funny. He always takes unexpected wins and argues with Eugene about the stupidest things. He's so autism confuscius bunny coded.
Best Character Design: He's Mr. Sex. Like yeah okay he's a bit mentally damaged but even I have eyes.
Character I'd Get Along With: Dude with how much manhwa I read we're going to be besties.
this is a bit old... I feel like I owe you guys an explanation. When I first started reading The Cruel Prince, for some reason I pictured Cardan with big completely black eyes. In my head it made sense. But I think in the third book they describe Cardan's eyes as "normal". But I still like drawing him with black eyes. even if it is not canon.

Jude Duarte and Cardan Greenbriar from the book The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. This piece was quite fun to draw, Iβm still practicing backgrounds and I noticed it helps a little to blur it so the main focus is on the characters. βοΈβ¨ definitely a good enemies to lovers story β€οΈ
