🔹Essaouira Blues 🔹 • • We were quite captivated by the Moroccan seaside town of Essaouira. In between trying not to get blown out to sea, we re-traced the steps of Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, admired the Spanish and Dutch canons that remain perched on the medina walls, watched fisherman sell their catch down at the harbour and wandered through the old Jewish quarter. • • The Windy City of Africa also boasts skilled artisans in the practice of woodcarving and silversmithing. It’s less crowded than the likes of Marrakech but no less vibrant and bursting with intriguing characters.
