Often I am puking onto the page.

Or, the words are lovely & decorate the page like confetti.

Most of the time they fall flat & dull, just an old linoleum floor.

No matter.

They rain onto the page, lightening my load, & the clouds clear.

My daily journaling practice sustains my ability to stay okay.

Okay enough to face another day.

Okay enough to see possibility and hope.

The multitude of thoughts & worries & questions & confusion leave my mind to appear on the page in the form of letters — one after the other... building words, forming sentences.

How harmless they seem then.

They become manageable.

And after, I leave them there and move on.

Space has cleared.

My vision is sharper.

My breaths come easier.

Onward, one moment at a time.
