unfortunately, we all have to grow up!

Did this little breakdown to outline the basic structure of each season in regards to Lab Rat and Mighty Med (for this post) - though I’ve realised that most series do actually fit into it more or less.

Season ONE

The introduction. Characters learn to fit into their new environment.

Adam, Bree and Chase learning to be normal

Oliver and Kaz learning about supers

Season TWO

An outside force threatens to change things.

Douglas and Marcus reveal the dark truth of bionic technology

Evil Skylar and Bridget highlight that the enemy isn’t always who you expect

Season THREE

Things are turned upside down.

The bionic secret is revealed to the world

Season FOUR

Things wrap around as the students become the teachers.

With this in mind I’d say Elite Force should have been treated more as the 3rd season of Mighty Med rather than the 1st season of a new show. After all, getting powers and destroying the hospital - the base of their operations (much like the Lab was destroyed) - really turns things upside down for them. It would have made sense - especially since Lab Rats had wrapped up so well and you don’t tend to get 5th season, so I’m not sure what it would be on the outline (war maybe?). However, because Lab Rats was the more successful show it’s clear that that’s why it was structured with a lot more Lab Rats stuff than Mighty Med. It’s also evident in the title choice, as it’s not just ‘Elite Force’ - it’s ‘Lab Rats: Elite Force’ - which doesn’t even make sense when you think about it, since the majority of said Force isn’t a lab rat - they don’t even have a Lab to be rats in. (They’re also not an Elite Force - but I’ll leave that for another post.) Point is, they followed the wrong season structure.

Though for now I will leave this there - as it’s 3am and I’m tired (I hadn’t intended on writing anything with the picture - yet here we are. Oh well.) I’ve got a new post in the works and am gonna try get it done tomorrow - but we’ll see if that ends up happening. Anyway, stay tuned.

A predatory grin crept across his face as he leaned into her

A longing stronger than others pulled her in

He was dangerous and she could taste it on his lips

But what power did she have to turn him away?

To brush his hand off and turn her back

It was impossible

For he was a demon

And she had become his prey

He swore to her she was different

And special

Like a wildflower blooming in hell

His hell

And she collapsed into him

Like a thousand suns collapsing into themselves

He claimed she was his savior

That all this destruction brought them together

She floated along the earth as he crawled on all fours

This was destiny he claimed

Her heart twisted at the thought
