Miniature swords selfie
Brandishing my collection of miniature swords in my apartment in Barangay Sambag, Cebú City.
The three longer blades are wooden replicas of the Bisayân of the Talibóng (ᜆᜎᜒᜊᜓᜅ᜔), Pinutí (ᜉᜒᜈᜓᜆᜒ), Gárab (Gab), or Lawi-lawi.The central blade is a miniature pewter Malaysian Keris (ꦏꦼꦫꦶꦱ꧀), which I purchased in 20024 at the Jaya Mata Malysia Knife Gallery in the Jonker Walk (鷄場街 / Jīcháng jiē / Persiaran Jonker) of the City of Malākkā, Malaysia; during a medical visit to Malaysia to address my stroke.

My brother and I are flexing with the 2023 statue of Datuk Wira Dr. Gan Boon Leong (1937-2022, 颜文龙) at the Jonker Walk World Heritage Park, at the Jonker Walk (鷄場街; Jīcháng jiē - Persiaran Jonker) of the City of Malākkā, Malaysia.
Dr. Gan Boon Leong is considered the “Father of Body Building in Malaysia” after staring his fitness career in Malacca in the 1940s, and established the “Body Building and Weightlifting Association of Melaka” in 1949. He later served a member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly from the 1980s to the 1990s.
There are several sculptures of Dr. Gan Boon Leong in his prime that are seen in Jonker Walk World Heritage Park as well as at Dr. Gan’s gyms in the city. These sculptures were created around 2011, which also celebrated Dr. Gan Boon Leong’s achievements in developing the Jonker Walk in 2000, and its declaration as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.
