You’re so correct but he grows to love Mundy because Jon loves Mundy. So, love wins <3

But I headcanon that Jondy from Dark Angel, after she escaped Manticore, went by "Jody". Why? Because like Max (who she was supposed to be similar to), I think she was probably sentimental about the name her siblings gave her, and would have mostly wanted to stay true to it... but I also imagine she wasn't dumb enough to go by "Jondy", when the government was looking for a "Jondy". And Jody was an actual normal name she could use, that was close enough to her "true name", but also just somewhat different (by missing one letter. LOL), that she could skirt by with it in this post-apocalyptic world where technology wasn't the best anymore.

This fix is amazing. Anyone who watched Dark Angel and is looking for something unique and well done needs to check it out. Tragically very few people seem to have read it, which needs to be remedied! Also the protagonist is Jondy who was a character with a lot of potential but who we only saw as a child unfortunately! Check it out.

With a mighty swoop, the eagle soared down toward the sea. It's prey was in sight, sharp vision never letting him miss a beat. The only time he was to look away saw him lock eyes on the two raccoons he'd left safely on the sandy shore. Talons gripped the length of the fish, the salty sea spray dousing his feathers as he propelled himself upwards once more. Alas, the weight surprised him, and back into the water it dropped. "Well darn, a slippery fellow, aren't you?"
