My expectations of what “Passing” was gonna be about were so different from what the movie actually ended up saying. I really really enjoyed it though. Tessa gave a great performance and so did Ruth. Very exited to see Ruth on stage as Lady Macbeth next spring.

I love going back to cartoons I loved as a kid and realizing the writing is actually phenomenal. ATLA ofc but there’s also this line from Young Justice, “ignorant boy! This is not a world, a universe, in which a free man can afford to be soft.” And you’re like, whoa. This dialogue was wasted on 12 yr old me! 21 yr old me however is gushing.

Reading “Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit” for Modern British Lit. Very interesting story (she’s lesbian!) about family dynamics and Christian values affecting her as she grows up. This mother is turrible chile
