John Nash (1893-1977), 'Judith'. ''The Apocrypha'', 1929 "The book tells the biblical story of Judith (Judith 13, 1-10). Here Judith kills Holofernes, General of the Assyrian King Nabucodonosor. While leading the siege of Bethulia, Holofernes, charmed by Judith, attends a banquet, where, having had too much to drink, he falls asleep and Judith severs his head. The latter then gives the head to her maid for her to show to her fellow citizens, thus saving her city. This story is the subject of many depictions in painting and sculpture. This is a rare biblical illustration by John Nash." (Source)

The UFC has never been richer, but the sport around it appears to be struggling to survive in a behemoth shadow.
John Nash covers a thing that I’ve been saying for years - regional mma has basically died. Especially in the US. He goes through the data to find how many pro fighters there are and how many fights are happening worldwide.
There has been a 52% decree in fights taking place in the US from 2009 to 2024.
In 2017, there were 20,692 fights that happened globally. In 2024? 16,808
Go give this a read.
