I love the cover image of Jim E. Brown "Dirt". I think it actually is Jim E. Brown who looks significantly older than actually is. He apparently was born the day before 9/11 which means he's not quite 25 years old. That is, of course, if any of this is true.

So, just the cover art/photo has created a bit of a puzzle for me. Go ahead and throw in the music. Guitar, bass, drums and vocals are all that is credited, but there are definitely synths and other sounds at work here. And, I'm not at all sure I actually like this. But, I'm enjoying listening to it and I somehow can't stop doing so.

This reminds me of John Maus, Laurie Shaw, Sleaford Mods and David E. Williams. And really, Brown sounds nothing like any of those. You need to give this a listen and see if it grabs a hold of you in the same way it did me.
