Fact: John
Being from the rather deep Southern States, John does in fact have a Southern accent. Not quite the stereotypical hillbilly/hick thickness, but still enough to have others grin and chuckle a bit, which naturally makes him a bit self-conscious of when he talks. So he often speaks in a slower pace than normal so that he can keep his accent as hidden as possible as to not attract more attention. However, when he gets emotional, which he tries to keep under control as well, John’s natural accent comes out and his Southern drawl is very noticeable.
