SCRIPTURE:
"You are already trimmed because of the word I have spoken to you. āRemain in Me, and I will remain in you.Ā āA branch canāt produce fruit by itself, but must remain in the vine.Ā "Likewise, you canāt produce fruit unless you remain in Me.Ā āI am the vine; you are the branches.Ā āIf you remain in Me and I in you, then you will produce much fruit.Ā ā Without Me, you canāt do anything." ~ John 15:3-5
OBSERVATION:
As a Christian, then, I am already a "trimmed" branch...
The world has been removed...
...but am I producing fruit?
Am I completely in Him?
Could I be producing more?
Am I looking too closely at myself to see the fruit He is producing?
Without Him I can't do anything...Ā
After all, He is the vine...
APPLICATION:
Remain in Him...
Produce fruit and prove I am His disciple (verse 8)
Remain in His love (verse 9)
Love each other just as He has loved me (verse 12)
PRAYER:Ā (referencing verse 2)
Father - trim my will to Your purposes that I might produce more fruit for Your glory and coming Kingdom... In Jesus Name, and for Your worshipful praise in all things...
