Absolute Green Lantern #17 Spoilers: If I Had a Nickel For Every AMM Reference In This Run...
I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, so I'd very much like it to keep happening.

I’ve finally finished farsector and oh boy do I have mixed feelings. First off Jo Mulllein was done so well. She gets to be flawed, nuanced and badass at the same time without being villainized. Sad to say that such a low bar is uncommon for queer women of colour in dc but it is. The worldbuilding was pretty fun and it really reminded me of Star Trek which is always a fun time. Sadly though I felt that the villanization of the @at queen after establishing her people as the metaphor for the marginalized group was strange to say the least. Like the Nah councillor seems set up to be the bad guy but then they have a weird sort of cop out where he actually isn’t? I don’t know I just felt like in their effort to create a twist ending they ended up diluting their racism metaphor.
