not to be all "drink the hose water" about it but i do think it's important, in the summertime, to throw yourself into a body of water of questionable safety at least once. if at all possible. preferably against a stunning backdrop of industrial despair. that magical bucolic path leading to the rope swing was down south side, across the train tracks behind a shopping center just a couple blocks away from a main bar-crawl thoroughfare -- peak "pittsburghers be like, i know a place..."
