I had such a stupid scenario for Jean-Luc Picard's awkward status of *not really dating Beverly, but kind of intimate, but was her son's father figure way before he was comfortable with*
Picard crosses paths with someone he hasn't worked with in like 20 years, and he's been so self-isolated and absent on long stints of deep exploration that no one from the past really knows what he's up to these days beyond captaining the Enterprise.
cue Wesley getting himself into shit, and Picard goes all stern (but forcibly patient) mentor on him. Ending his scolding with something along the lines of: "Do you have anything to say, Mr. Crusher?" (prompting apology)
and this old workmate sees this and is like "Oh! So you and Jack finally settled down. It's great that you got a ship placement where you could bring your son with you :)"
and Picard is horrified, and Wesley is baffled. So baffled he tells his mom about it and Beverly promptly loses her breath and, when she sees Jean-Luc's reaction, laughs so hard she doesn't get it back for fifteen minutes.
