Today I did something that I am still in shock I pushed myself to do. I competed in a NAGA competition🤯, I gave it my all and I got second place (No Gi division).🥈 In preparation for this I had to go through the process of cutting weight, weighing in the night before the event, and had to overcome all the anxieties that come with all that and then some.🥴 I won one match by points and lost one to a rear naked choke submission. Now looking back at the videos I see things I could have adjusted to have a potentially a different outcome but by no means am I upset with my loss. I considered walking in through the front doors a win so having earned a second place medal is so surreal to me. Greetings to everyone in the Bill BJJ family! Today was another great day of competition. I was very proud to see so many new young faces competing. It takes so much bravery for even adults to compete, so when the little ones do, they deserve so much praise.  Speaking of praise, I want to thank all of the parents, family, and friends who showed up to support our young champions. It was a long, chaotic, and COLD day, but it takes every one of you to make this happen.  So many of our competitors won today and performed so well. But there’s also the type of improvement that doesn’t always show itself on the scorecard.
