“Never doubt that.”: The rain splattered harder against the pavement, the sounds of their shoes smacking against the forming puddles echoing through the pouring rain. Their breath came out in front of them, the chill of the rain finally catching up to them and forcing them to stop and gasp for breath. “Y/N!” Their head whipped around, eyes wide that even through the rain, they could see Seokjin running after them. He came to a stop before them, panting heavily and placing his hands on his knees, heaving for air before dark eyes met their’s. “What the fuck are you doing, running out here like this? You’re going to get sick!” Even now, scolding Y/N left a warm fuzzy feeling bubbling in their stomach that was threatening to spill from their mouth as it crawled up their throat and forced them to let out a wet, choked laugh. “Me, get sick? You actually care now?” The scoff that followed only caused Seokjin’s jaw to clench, the warmth that was in his eyes turning to ice as he slowly stood up straight once more, letting the rain slide down his chest once more as he glared at Y/N with so much emotion, they couldn’t look Seokjin back in the eyes. “You’re an idiot if you ever thought I didn’t care. Just because she’s here in my life now, because she’s meddling in things she has no idea about doesn’t mean I’ve stopped loving you. Nothing she can offer me can match the love I have for you and that I get from you. I want nothing, no one else but you, Y/N.” The comeback Y/N had prepared sitting on the tip of their tongue slid back down their throat, choking them as Seokjin took a step forward and gently took their hand in his to lace their fingers together. “No amount of money from anyone would ever make me consider leaving you, none.”
