Imagine Ty proposing to Nick with season tickets to Fenway and a ring in his beer just like he teased he always would. Imagine Nick, who had always been wary of commitment, saying yes because it's Ty.

Of course Nick is nervous but Ty's his best friend, he's always been there and at any time when Nick looked at his future he always seen Ty there. 

Then the day of the wedding rolls around and Nick's standing at the alter and Ty's nowhere to be found. Nick grits his teeth and tries to smile. He'll be here. He's probably just making sure his dress blues look perfect. 

Nick forces himself to wait calmly in front of their guests. Its a small wedding. Ty's whole family is there, but for Nick it's only his sisters, with Sidewinder standing beside them. It's the way he wanted it. He casts a look at Sidewinder, maybe Ty's planning something secret. But they all avoid his eyes except for Kelly who offers him a small smile. Nick looks away because he can't return it. 

Nick smooths his hands over his dress blues trying to dispel his nerves. Instead he feels something in his pocket. It's a folded piece of paper. Perfectly creased. Nick pulls it out and unfolds it slowly, he can make out Ty's handwriting almost immediately.
