This is the best role I have seen Jim Greenleaf in on a TV Show. There may be better ones but I haven’t seen them...yet. This was much better than his appearance on Mork & Mindy. In this episode Laverne & Shirley agree to go on a blind date with what turns out to be college freshmen and they are going to a Frat Party. Both are uncomfortable with the younger men, particularly Laverne as “Lyle” is very new to dating, and a little too aggressive. Laverne ends up “mothering” him through the date. Trying to fix his tie, that doesn’t tighten, pulling the bottom of his shirt together to cover his belly from peeking out.

Jim Greenleaf is teamed with Fred Asparagus as two sons of wealthy parents who try surfing. I really don’t remember much of it except of course this scene.
This is a later photo of Jim Greenleaf. I’m not sure when this was taken. The reason he stopped acting was because, sadly, he was in a horrific car accident that almost killed him. His last credit was on an episode of The Fall Guy in 1986. I don’t know if the accident preceeded this taping or if it was after. I would need to see the show.
