Was reading the comments on ep 15 of The Wolf and someone said that Ji Chong is misogynistic because he said something along the lines of "she's the only woman i respect", which i assume they got from the english subtitles - what he actually says is more like "she's the only woman i admire". 敬佩 (admire), the word he uses, carries a lot more weight than 尊重 (respect). If he were merely talking about basic respect or seeing women as his equals, he would've used 尊重.
The comment was three years old and i don't like commenting on youtube in general, but if anyone else was bothered by that scene, now you know it's a translation thing

Okay I’m doing the first memory that came to mind from You'd Look Good in Red for the prompts, because otherwise I’ll keep trying to search all my fics for possibilities and never decide on anything. Even with this precaution, I still spent like 3 hours on this. Welp.
A line about butts
“JI CHOOOONG?!” The sudden yelling of his name makes Ji Chong jump out of his skin, and fall out of the window, onto the snowed-over flowerbed. Turns out, he doesn’t land like a bird or a cat. He lands like a man. On his butt.
A sad line
“My entire life has been a curse, not of my own choosing, that was never supposed to have happened, that has hurt so many people.”
A furious line
“Don’t test me on this. Go to sleep, Ji Chong.” How dare Xie Yun tell Ji Chong what he can and can’t do! Ji Chong’s soup boils over. “THAT’S PRINCE JI CHONG TO YOU!” He claps a hand over his mouth immediately, brain catching up too late.

“Of the two options, I’d prefer to eat real food, not fish food,” Xie Yun replies after thinking for a bit. “Ah,” Ji Chong says, wisdom dancing in his tone, “but fish food is real food to the fish.” Xie Yun laughs. “You’re getting philosophical with me?” “You started it!”
A fun line
The atmosphere in the room feels different without the children and Ji Chong’s outer defences; heavier, quieter, requiring precise navigation to not say too much, to not expect too much. It’s not going to go down well if he demands, ‘Ji Chong, let’s run away! Screw peeling potatoes, screw me instead!’ Ji Chong is enjoying the Spring Festival celebrations. Xie Yun has no doubt that Ji Chong would enjoy what he has in mind, too, but they agreed to stay until the second day.
