lucas likes to play sound patterns usually associated with doom metal.
im not super familiar with the genre, but he really seems to enjoy playing these heavy, thick, repetitive riffs.
he’s really good at it. he is also able to incorporate scales. this, for me, makes the eventuality of being devoured by such a black energy, less intimidating.
the hard part for me was keeping my focus while playing these long, recurring sequences. but, now, i am starting to see at least some reasons why one might enjoy this. it truly is intoxicating, and requires a particular discipline to not let the imagination wander aimlessly.
in preparation of some jam sessions, i wanted to get better acquainted with this ritualistic style of play. that bass is gonna be DISGUSTING!
I finally got around to doing an official reference page. I’m pretty proud of how it came out. I hope I didn’t leave anything important out.

in which Adam talks about launching his own MCN (multi-channel network: a company that offers services to YouTubers, usually in the way of promoting their channels, in exchange for a percentage of their ad revenue).
I think it's really cool that Adam's using his influence and status in the YouTube community to create a multi-channel network that is trying to act in the interest of YouTubers themselves and not just in the interest of making money.
