August 7, 1970 found Jethro Tull performing during the Benefit tour. Although some contemporary posters and schedules listed the band for Michigan's Goose Lake Festival, concert records confirm that Ian Anderson, Martin Barre, John Evan, Glenn Cornick, and Clive Bunker performed instead at the Strawberry Fields Festival in Mosport Park, Ontario, Canada. Playing before a crowd estimated at 75,000 to 100,000 people, the performance became part of one of Canada's largest rock festivals of 1970.
