He Sees the Pain You Never Speak About.

When we confess joy, we reinforce our faith—declaring with our mouths that God is able to perform every promise He has spoken. “The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10), and that strength is not emotional—it is spiritual power.

Though we face various trials, our position remains unchanged: we are joyful in the Lord. The storms may rage, but our anchor is steadfast because we know “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). Jesus Himself said, “Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). If He has overcome, then in Him, so have we.

So why allow your flesh to bow to discouragement when adversity rises? Joy is not denial—it is defiance. It is the bold declaration that God’s Word is more real than the battle in front of you.

Fear stands as the opposite of joy—fear is faith’s adversary. But the Father reminds us: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).

The sound mind God gives brings us into perfect rest, for it flows from the revelation that God is faithful. And if He is faithful, then why worry? Worry cannot add a single hour to your life (Matthew 6:27). Worry is fruitless—joy is victorious.

So lift your eyes.

Lift your voice.

Let joy rise in you like a river.

Be happy in the Lord.

Be joyful in His salvation.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)
