For as long as we maintain our current gender ideology bullshit, then little boys (who are generally as sweet and kind as little girls) are going to continue to be socialised as entitled, insensitive, emotional idiots who have cauterised the 'other people are also people' parts of their brains, utterly dependent upon the women in their lives to manage their social interactions. In the meantime, romance novels continue to uphold the dream of men who are really capable of love.
