“will you just open it? it’s not gonna bite--i think,” he mutters with a fake tinge of annoyance to his voice and a roll of eyes that seem even smaller than usual. (he hasn’t been getting too much sleep these days, this being rather apparent in the way all his movements were sluggish and motivation at an all-time low.) “on the other hand, i might if you don’t stop cooing at me getting you a gift at all. i get my dental checks frequently, could probably bite off your ear if i tried, noona.” he adds with a little sneer, because he just never calls her that way, always repeating (and whining, really) that being barely 8 days older isn’t enough for the n-word.

the gift, wrapped carefully in thin, rustling paper of red and gold and then placed in a simple black box with a bow on top, isn’t anything much at all. just some mix of warm wool and soft cashmere, weaved together in a slightly upgraded version of a cheesy ugly christmas sweater. it’s dark green, with specks of gold flickering here and there, and about every christmas symbol sewn on the front in a messy mass of comic-style badges. yoongi has never been all about that christmas spirit and fussing over gifting people around with proper presents, but once he saw it, it faultlessly reminded him of gemma. a classic piece that’s either loved or hated -- but classic with a twist: a little chaotic, a tiny bit defiant, and definitely flashy.

Of course, ‘byesexual’ was not toodifficult to comprehend, not with that follow up at least. Yet, she remained ina state of perplexment, wondering exactly what the other was talking about.

It dawns upon her, eventually,and frankly she’s amazed it hadn’t clicked instantly. Somin’ll blame it on thelack of sleep and the desperate need for caffeine – whether that was the realreason behind it, well, she herself was unsure. Slowly, the look ofbefuddlement eases into mild amusement; the corners of her lips twitch as shefights a grin, the muscles within her forehead relaxing and shoulders slumpinga tad. There was no point in disguising this sudden shift, and so with a tingeof embarrassment Somin murmurs, “Oh, yes, I totally get it now…”

Laughter follows her sentiment, small fingers raised to herlips to muffle the noises of merriment; it really wasn’t that funny, but shewas easily amused. “Bye-sexual… I like that, I may have to use this in thefuture—.” She wouldn’t though, and she knew this much. Her deliverance wasoften quite terrible with punchy jokes (or any joke, in fact) as such. Jokeswere just not her forte; but, she thinks, maybe she’ll tell it to Jseph. He’dbe able to own it. Her thoughts return to the elder and questions begin to arise– was her love life really that bad? Or was it just something to say? – her nosynature was getting the better of her.
