I hope you all know that most Jelix shippers don't even believe the ship should be canon or don't even write them getting together like 90% of the time. I like my edgy Shakespeare tales where they kill each other more. I do like AU's made for fluffy corny shit too, but that's it really.
If people actually start policing and blacklisting Jelix shippers again I'm gonna fucking riot. We literally learned nothing from before.
yes sure we all talk about unrequited jelix where felix is madly in love with jack but he doesnt do anything about it and he drinks his feelings away etc etc. But wouldn't it just be a whole lot more tragic if it WASNT one sided? how guilty jack would feel cheating on his wife and betraying his family for the man who ends up accidentally killing his kids? how he would practically be unable to process what felix has done to him? his lifelong best friend, his brother, the man he's having a secret affair with?
Jack hunting Felix down theory is so cool. Does that mean I can draw them killing each other again? Oouuuououuo Jelix oooohhhohoouuhgh

Jelix shippers are so fucking annoying and the ship is so mid haha. Dni if you're a Jelix shipper.
don't look up Jelix on my blog please dont pleasepleaseplease
Guys I'm totally not a Jelix shipper.
I do think its kinda funny how misunderstood "jelix" is as a concept to both people who are and are not into it. going to preface this with i dont personally care whether you like "jelix" or not. whether you ship them romantically or just as friends etc etc. the point I'll be making here is twf fans have always interpreted them and their dynamic wrong all across the board.
first point being that people who are into it seem to very much dumb down and flat out change the characters to fit into a palatable box. jack's machismo and dominating personality that clashes with felix's self centered and pathetic one are both completely stripped from them. the dynamic is imbalanced for several reasons, namely with how jack is emotionally reserved and focused on what he deems to be his "duties as a male" which in Felix's eyes comes naturally to him. the same cannot be said for felix, his issues stemming from his father's disapproval and need for conformity being pushed onto him accumulate in an idolization of jack. he wants to be him, and everything that entails. you also have the aspects of adultery and repressed sexuality being stripped from their dynamic. what's left after removing everything that makes them interesting both separately and together is a bleak and pointedly wrong interpretation of something that could've been interesting.
on the flipside of that, people who are vehemently against it do the same thing. the desire to seperate the good and tragic victim jack walten from the evil and despicable felix kranken neglects to reconcile with the reality that they were at one point very close. the notion that jack puts his family above all else, including felix, has been disproven time and time again yet fanon prevails. strawman arguments of "well he killed his kids" are used to ignore the 20+ years of relationship prior to the crash. I've seen people box themselves into this idea that jack could never like felix, even simply as his best friend, to the point they've said they were never close at all. felix wasn't even a family friend, just a coworker. it seems that some people cant handle challenging media, and would rather be incorrect and push fanon as the truth than to admit that sometimes character's will do things you dont like.
I don't really know where I was going with this, I've just been stuck in twf spaces for 5 years atp and I think a good majority of you are so funny. And wrong.
