Jeff Moss wrote a lot of songs for Sesame Street: "Eight Beautiful Notes," "Dee Dee Dee," the wonderful "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon," "I Love Trash," "Nasty Dan," "Imagine That," "Octopus Blues," "The People in Your Neighborhood," "Sammy the Snake," the beautiful "We Are All Earthlings." But his biggest success is probably "Rubber Duckie."

One of Sesame Street's most famous signature songs, "Rubber Duckie" was actually released as a single and spent nine weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970, peaking at number 16 on September 26.

Much like Ernie, Oscar also has a favorite bath time buddie. His toy is called Rubber Yucchy, an orange, rubber toy with thick, black glasses, white running shoes, and spikes protruding from his body. When he's given a squeeze, Rubber Yucchy makes a sort of burp-hiccup noise.

One of the few times we see Oscar sad is when he loses Rubber Yucchy.

Jeff Moss has said that he believes Cookie Monster started to develop into the monster we know today thanks to an early skit he wrote where a monster only said "milk" and "cookie."
