On Sonny Clark's My Conception
Marc Myers gives a nod in Jazz Wax to Sonny Clark’s My Conception album on Blue Note. It reminded me that, when I first started to go through the Blue Note vaults, I almost passed this one over because while the playing was great, some of the ensembles didn’t have that tightness you expect from a Blue Note record. Fortunately I reconsidered.
