I just remembered that two years ago I redrew the intro background from one of my favorite games - Jazz Jackrabbit 2
The character models and the soundtracks across all the levels are still brilliant. I didn't play the first game much—most of my memories are tied to the sequel, but I still back to this it sometimes for nostalgia ⭐️🐰

Today we’re taking a look at Alexander Brandon’s career in games music! You may know him from Deus Ex. Or the early Unreal games. Or Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Or… ok he was in a lot of games. Let’s explore!
Theme for introducing and talking to one of the new characters, the wise guru of magical old school rapping! Based on the "Learning Curve" song from the Jazz Jackrabbit 3 prototype - since I'll be using that one for his introductory level. Original track by Alexander Brandon. If you know a thing or two about Demon Dash from my social media, you might be wondering what about the other new character, Admael? Well, for her theme, I simply repurposed one of the unused JJ2 songs (Jaz30.s3m).

sometimes i get stunlocked by a song and gotta study it a bit. the melody at 55s into the water level theme from jazz jackrabbit 2 is beautiful.

Didn't think I'd just stop drawing Jazz Jackrabbit fanart, did you? Trying to up my brush stroke control game. Also experimenting with shading a bit, especially on metal surfaces. What do you think? Is it a failed experiment?
I think it'd be funny if the only solution for the whole miscommunication about Lori being either Jazz and Spaz's long lost sister or Spaz's original concept to be his girlfriend, is to actually make her beta design for the vanilla Jazz 2 and her playable Jazz 2 to be completely different characters instead of being just one person
I'd think it'd be funny if they accidentally get mistaken once for one another because they look like each other and they tell you they don't even look similar
