Why did I check the warrior cats wiki and I saw this

Now I haven’t read chasing shadows at all it’s a little bit crazy they are revealing book 5 so early on now me personally I do not care for changing skies at all I just don’t like it BUT NOW I AM CONCERNED FOR JAYFEATHER like I know people want older characters to die, but it could be literally anyone else or even the background characters that have no development

Jaypaw kinda doesnt like her at first—since shes so energetic, and he feels like she doesnt really take anything seriously. But she really likes him, and usually wants to play with him or have fun with him. They become closer over time though as they get put in various near-death situations together, and as they both learn more about eachother—and after understanding eachother better, Jaypaw softens up to her, and they both become friends (even if hes a bit hesitant to admit it at first.)

He is also quite protective of her later on as they grow up (since some other clan cats still find her a little annoying), believes more in her capabliites than he did before, and has a soft spot for her—while she supports him in ways he knows work best for him, mellows out a little around him, and is very defensive of him when other cats tend to be a little mean about him—they're basically besties in their older years, and even when they both reach elder-age.

(Also, i'm kinda deciding if I wanna traumatize her a LOT with the stuff that happens in her story, or have her be traumatized from some things—but not that much? But either way, Jayfeather is one of the few cats who notices how this is effecting her—surprisingly—and that serves as another reason for him being so protective of her.)

(She is also one of the few cats that willingly wants to spend time with him to the point where she seems a bit clingy—and actually does seem to genuinely like him despite how he acts toward her. And she ends up being surprisingly really good at cheering him up as he grows to like her.)

(I may speak more about their relationship after I release the info page? But I decided I wanted to doodle them before that because I like their dynamic./silly)

First off, the book is 90% filler. Just junk stuff happening, shit happening just for it to happen. Honeyfern’s death and the clan immediately picking up pitchforks for a cat no one cared about when he was alive, HOLLYLEAF… it was all annoying.

Second, it’s been said before but it was SO bothersome to see every cat turn on Squilf and Leafpool. Like okay yeah it would be upsetting just a bit to find out you’re adopting but Squilf and Leafpool get so much blame and shit for it. This might get me killed but I think Bramble had a decent reason to be a little mad but yeah the anger directed solely towards the female cats was so. Irritating. I hope it gets better in other books (don’t think it does) but I’d like to see the three treat Bramble and Squilf as their parents because. They are lmfao.

I actually do like the Three but they’re all really stupid sometimes. Jayfeather is an ass and Lionblaze is a himbo imo and Hollyleaf is Hollyleaf. Killing a cat to keep a secret and then revealing the bigger truth in front of ALL the clans is so. What?? And then she’s all like “eat these deathberries o mother I hate!!” And Leafpool just hits her with this casually suicidal statement and Hollyleaf loses all resolve immediately like okay what was that for. God they’re all so stupid and dramatic I can’t help but love them
