Why the candy.ai Crowd Keeps Switching to SweetDream
There is a quiet migration happening in the AI girlfriend space, and it is worth examining rather than dismissing. People who started on platforms like candy.ai keep describing the same itch: the experience feels shallow after a while. SweetDream, at sweetdream.ai, seems to be where a lot of them land, and after testing it I understand the pattern.
The honest analysis is that SweetDream invests in the unglamorous stuff. Memory that actually persists. A character builder deep enough to shape personality and backstory, not just a face. Conversations that respond with real emotional intelligence instead of canned warmth. Those are the things that turn a novelty into a companion you stick with.
Layer on the production values, sharp AI photos and videos, voice messages and phone calls that sound human, video and live cam sessions with select characters, and it is easy to see the appeal. The privacy commitment seals it. If you are evaluating an AI companion and weighing your options, SweetDream earns its place at the top of the shortlist.

Author's Note: A special little angsty drabble for a special reader - happy birthday babe :)
In a perfect world, Jay would have been the man that you wanted. You were one of the few that was absolutely fine with him, as he was. That had never happened before. Ever (his mother doesn't count).
Sanjay liked himself too (mostly). His quiet demeanor had earned him a 'wallflower' title. He was the quiet guy that people talked to when they needed to work something out.
Jay rarely had to say anything, and he'd just listen to a stranger did themself into (or out of) a proverbial hole of whatever issue they were facing. A lot of the times it was something begin. And then it wasn't. His dealing in information had turned into a lucrative skill, one that had changed his life. Was it a life of "crime"? Yes. But what else was there?
He liked it. Mostly. But he didn't like that he couldn't have you.
Which led him to tonight.
It was your birthday - the first one to pass since he'd cleanly, cruelly dissected himself from your life months ago.
He had to do it.
He repeated it like a mantra, or an affirmation, anything to get you free of a lowlife like him. And it had been worth it.
Three months after Jay's quiet exit, he heard from his mother that you'd been seeing someone.
Naturally he had to find out everything.
Naturally, that handsome fucker came back clean, absolutely nothing he could hate, or hold as blackmail. Just a handsome and wealthy man who fell head-over-heels for you.
It's what you deserved. Truly. And he was fine with it.
Fine enough to sit across the crowded restaurant and watch you eat dinner on your birthday - with someone else.
If it had been Jay, he would have gotten you a seat on the rooftop. You don't like enclosed spaces with lots of people. You like being near the exit.
'Matteo' likely didn't know that yet. Ha.
Or maybe you changed - but he couldn't think like that.
Across the restaurant, you smile at something he said, a flash of your white teeth almost knocks Jay off of his alarmingly comfortable padded bar stool.
This is agony.
His heart clenches. This man was definitely going to propose, and here Jay was wanting his mother to be wrong.
Was it unethical to feel that way?
How long did it take for the body to learn that you didn't belong with him anymore. It's just phantom pain from a lost limb. That's why he was here, to press on the open wound.
You're right there, and he can't have you.
You're here with someone else, and you will never belong to Jay again.
For a moment, he swears that your eyes flick over to his dark corner. For a fleeting, delicate moment, you see him. You look at him like you did before he went away.
He always adored when you looked at him, the weight of your stare, it let him believe for a minute that he was a real person.
If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound? If there's no one to hear it?
If no one loves you, do you even exist?
Your gaze shifts as quickly as it came, and Jay realizes that maybe he doesn't.
You know your husband better than anyone on this planet.
Maybe not better than his own mother but you did spent a massive amount of time with her, she taught you a trick or two.
So when Jay shows up at your door step after a long mission in India you didn't think much. You two needed each other like alcoholics, you knew he was going to knock on your door, with a box of your favourite chocolate and distant eyes, it was just the matter of when. It just so happen to be that this time it took a year.
Sanjay didn't look like the type for relationship but he surprise everyone around him.
So you did what you always do, pick a mission together, start small, build up trust, eventually it leads back to India.
The first time he brought you there, in the middle of a job, you didn't think much. It was just another small house at the side of the beach, what more could it be? It's silent, quiet, anonymous, exactly what you two needed as a safe house.
But the second time he brought you there? You knew something was off.
Sanjay Menha doesn't do patterns, the only pattern he knew how to draw was you and you could see his wrist flicking to sketch a new one.
After a while you start to see it, the one room he always avoid, the empty eyes, not like his usual ones though, more like when he's swallowing guilt, his mind wandering when he stares into the darkness of the beach's horizon.
You're his wife, you know him better than anyone in this planet.
You had the blanket wrapped around your chest, mindlessly reached at the blunt your bare husband was smoking. He was leaning against the bed frame, eyes staring at the door, more like pass it.
"so who was she?" you asked after a small inhale. Finally his eyes shifted. "she?" that stupid low voice you always fall for.
You let out a chuckle, your eyes closed, blunt rolling betweeing your thumb and index finger. "don't play dumb, baby, it's not a good look on you," you said with a stupid smile, he hated it, you figured him out and you talked as if nothing changed.
"you came here with her, hm? Stayed in the room across," you continued, finally opening your eyes to look at him. His face stoic but his eyes let out a small plea. To ignore the issue, like you've both been doing for years.
"must've been a hell of a girl, making you break your rules," you added, offering him the blunt, which he didn't take. You shrugged and take another hit.
Jay mumbled your name. You hummed but honestly he didn't know what to say. "what happened? She died? She left?"
He took a deep breath before sighing. "left," Jay finally admitted. You let out a chuckle. "fuck, is that why you've been looking at me like that?"
Jay's frown deepen, turning to look at you, finally. "like what?"
You smiled again. "like you finally love me again?"
Jay sits up almost frantically. "what? I love you." He had turned his body to look at you fully. You sat up, leaning against the headboard and placed your head on his shoulder. "you're cute when you lie," you kissed his shoulder as you mumbled those words into his flesh.
Jay's hand wrapped itself around your waist. He didn't know what to make of this. He planted his face into your hair, sighing when he smelt your shampoo. "I love you. Believe me," he pleaded.
You just hummed, enjoying the sting in your throat when the smoke takes its path to invade your lungs. "you started to look at me different. You wish she comes back?" you asked, honestly you don't even know what you're doing. Are these questions to hurt him, to hurt you, maybe you're just trying to validate yourself.
"if she comes back, who'd you choose?"
"jaanu-"
"jaanu? Hm? Is that what you called her too?"
Jay mumbled your name again, sweetly, the same way he had said it before when you just woke up, when all you could feel was his warmth. "I'm not mad, we were on a break" you tried to rationalise yourself, but how could you, you're as insane as he is.
"I love you," Jay pleads. "I love you," he repeated. You're not sure who he's trying to convince.
"samira," Jay pulled back, confused when that name fell out of your lips. He's staring at you, trying to calculate how in the ever loving fuck did you know?
"she called, I answered. Told her you were here," you said with a sweet smile that sent his stomach sick. "are you playing with me?" he asked standing up. You enjoyed the sight of his bare body, though the sight is a bit funny as your husband tries to find his pants, his phone to be exact.
"she needed help or something. Told her you were here," you repeated. Jay paused to look at you. "jaan, you're not joking, right?" He's still trying to figure you out.
You shrugged. A small smile creeped up on you when you heard the front door bangs. "one way to find out," you replied. Taking another hit of the blunt.
"honey, baby, what," he asked as he finally reached a sweatpants to throw on. "don't play with me, are we-" Jay half thought you called the cops on him, that is till he heard her voice.
Her voice
"better go," you played. "stay here, promise, stay," Jay said mindlessly as he walked out of the door.
He should've known you're not the type to listen to orders.
A/n: hi ik back from the dead..... I can't write more ngl the hospital stuck a needle in my right hand. I'll be discharged tomorrow tho IDK WHAT THE PLOT FOR THIS OKAY I JUST MISS YOU GUYS
Years of training and observing, as the young ward of the Bridgerton house, had led you to this day, and it had all turned out rather beastly.Â
Violet, your mother, had brought the same ferocity and dedication with her love to your upbringing, as she had with her many other children. You may have been a âwardâ, but your mother stuck a giant feather on your head and brought you out as her own. Only for you to be smirked and gawked at, looked down upon. And you had months of this to look forward to? To find a husband?Â
At the very least, you made an impression, the Queen herself could not deny. And in the corner of the ballroom, your brother Gregoryâs friend Jay, knew this.Â
Taking a sip of his champagne, he muses on the day, while keeping his eyes on you.Â
The past two weeks had been ghastly for him as well. His estranged father had finally passed away, and had decided to formally claim Sanjay as his own - despite a messy, sordid history with his parents, he came back to London- to do his duty.Â
He had tenants to worry about, people on staff who would be out of work if he didnât. Catching up with his good friends at Bridgerton House would just be a side benefit. But he just missed them, all assembled to see you off. He made up his mind to call tomorrow, if not only to set up a meeting between his mother and Violet.Â
No other reason at all!Â
He wasnât sitting in the corner of the ballroom for you. He didnât see you leaving the house, dressed like an angel, and he didnât spend the rest of the day pondering the passage of time. Werenât you supposed to be on the shelf by now? What fool would allow that to happen? Why were you just âcoming outâ now?
So, he had decided to attend the Danbury Ball, to the shock of his mother. If he didnât have his eyes on you and your mother, he would have regretted it immensely.Â
It was glittering, well-lit, and all together much too loud. It would only be worth if it he could approach you, and the wall of Bachelors trying to figure him out blocked his way.Â
Ridiculous.Â
From the other side of the room, you scowl. Hours into your first year on the marriage mart, it truly hits you how different things were going to be. Your eldest brother Anthony, had stepped away to fetch you and your mother some lemonade, and you felt a pang of guilt. Daphne, Franscesca, Eloise, Hyacinth, had all put Anthony through the ringer when it came to suitors. He had years to hone his skills of chasing off suitors, clout-chasers, and fortune-hunters. You didnât need to worry about that last part, and the Bachelors of the ton knew that.Â
Youâd been approached twice, by two separate men. Two times. You were a handsome enough woman, and you had the Bridgerton name, but it wasnât enough, was it? You werenât even that old. Kate was six-and-twenty when she married your brother, same as you are now!
You were distracted by your shoes, eyes to the floor, when your mother gave Anthony a look, and your brother all but evaporated.Â
âDearest, are you well?â Your motherâs soft, musical tone soothes you for a moment. You slowly bring your eyes up from the floor, and ask what had been weighing on your mind.Â
âMother, why is this the year?âÂ
âWhat do you mean?â She asks, coy as ever.Â
âIâm on the shelf, I thought I would stay and take care of you! Instead Iâm here, in a crush of people, being inspected like a new horse.â Violet chuckles lightly.Â
âYou flatter me, but Iâm not in my dotage just yet.âÂ
âSo tell me why Iâm here!â
âAnthonyâs finished the papers. Weâve been able to allocate some funds for your dowry. Youâre here because you deserve to be here.â She takes your arm in his and the two of you step closer to the exotic plants that always seemed to be in bloom.Â
âYour age, and parentage do not exclude you from society, and any man worth having will see that. Weâre here to find you a match, dearest.âÂ
âThereâs not a man worth having in this whole lot!â Violet nearly laughs at you, âThereâs at least one.â She pointedly looks across the room, at the man who looks like a boy she used to have over for tea.Â
âYou schemer! Lord Menha?â You gasp, and Violet could roll her eyes. Jay had been staring at the two of you in his typical serious manner, which gave Violet confidence that maybe time hadnât changed too much about him.Â
âSanjay looks quite handsome, does he not?â You nod, wishing you were still in the corner looking at your shoes, âRemember when he was a young man, sitting in the corner of the room. You had to coax him out like a stray cat.â It was such a vivid picture in your mind. Where had all that time gone?Â
The man your mother pointed out was handsome, in a way that made your corset suddenly feel too tight.Â
âThat seems such a long time agoâŚâ You try to shrug it off. Your mother knew you were scared of the âseasonâ, and everything that came with it. But you wouldnât admit it to yourself.Â
âNot that long perhaps. He looks as if he could stand to be rescued.â Violet takes a long drink from her champagne glass, noting how utterly miserable Sanjay looked, blocked in my three to five of the tonâs most eligible bachelorsâŚfrom five years ago.Â
You notice too, Jay didnât like crowds. Why was he here?Â
âMother, I do think youâre right.â What was left of the boy you knew? Perhaps it would be good to find out.Â
âOf course, dearest.â She gives your gloved hand a squeeze as the hostess calls her over, across the floor.Â
You square your shoulders, crossing the immaculate tiled floors.Â
As you get closer, your stomach begins to twist. He was well and truly pinned down by men who should have married years ago.Â
âSanjay Menha, you absolute devil!âÂ
âStill have that stutter, old boy?âÂ
âGet plenty of tail abroad, did you?âÂ
Jay simply stares at you. It was unnerving to see him this close. Heâd gotten taller, shoulders more broad. That dark, curly hair that had been so unmanageable in his youth was shiny, pushed away from a handsome face, now sporting a beard, that gave you, for some reason, the urge to run your hands through.Â
âPardon me sirs-â You try but are cut off by Lord Wabash.Â
âMiss Bridgerton, no need for formalities.â You donât take your eyes off your Jay.Â
âPardon me, Dickon, Lord Menha and I were about to take to the floor.â You bat your eyes the same way your sister Franscesca does, hoping he wonât take offense. It didnât matter if he did, you were too old, after all.Â
You wouldnât look at any of the other men, you really didnât need to.Â
âLord Menha and I were about to take to the floor.â Jay stares at you, dark eyes just the same as the day he left town.Â
You want to do everything you can to keep Jay looking at you. No one else would come close.Â
Had this been on the promenade, such lack of attention to manners would have been a âcutâ. But youâre parents werenât titled, you were an orphan, and you were too old to be here. Youâd simply have to take your chances.Â
âWe are.â Jay agrees, handing his glass to one of his social captors, and letting you take his arm. You take a step down together, together, and the cluster scatters.Â
âLord Menha, if I remember right, you love a good waltz,â you smile, as you direct Jay to the floor. He blinks at you, and your stomach does an embarrassing flip.Â
âYou remember it just right.â He thinks about practicing with you at the Bridgerton house, you moving so gracefully, and him falling over his feet to keep up.Â
âQuite the swashbuckler, Miss Bridgerton?â He asks, thinking of a time that you played Pirates with Gregory and Hyacinth.Â
âOnly when I see something I want.â Your face heats up at the forward implications of your words. It was just Jay, your Sanjay, friends with your brothers, you tried to calm yourself.Â
âI heard you were prone to travel, and an eligible bachelor, but I never saw you as a wallflower, my Lord.âÂ
âIâm just glad to have caught your attention.â At that moment, it was remarkably difficult to resist the urge to swoon.Â
The music starts, and words fade.Â
Against the glass windows, Anthony stands by your Mother, trying to hide his awe. It was too neatly packaged for there not to have been some meddling. He was well aware of her friendship with Lady Menha, and heâd have to ask after her health.Â
The waltz ends, and Anthony sees Jayâs handâs shake from the middle of the floor. This bodes well, doesnât it?Â
You both walk together, Jay escorting you in the direction of your Mother and brother, âMay I call on you tomorrow, Miss Bridgerton?âÂ

also it is SO fucking stormy where im at rn and yknow what that means đ high sex in the car while it rains with jay? im practically drooling at the v thought of it ngl
OH? I'm jealous, it was 91 degrees here today! This is making me a little insaneeeeeee. Like it's summer, so maybe the two of you are driving somewhere secluded, you've got your cute little summer dress/skirt outfit on.
The rain descends quickly, it's kinda insane, but visibility drops off drastically, so you guys pull over to let the storm pass. You know Jay is a fan of storms, but they make you a little anxious, especially since you guys in a car and not a house.
In the glove compartment, you treat yourself to some weed you know Jay keeps in there. He puts his seat back slightly, watching you roll your joint, and he lights it for you. He's a gentleman. You crack a window, just a little, not worrying about any rain coming in. Jay grabs your wrist and takes a hit off the joint, that buzzy feeling in your chest already settling in.
He helps you when you pounce on him, languid kisses going straight to your belly. Jay groans as you pull away, fussing with his jeans, and pulling him free.
Another hit, and he grabs your chin as you exhale, breathing in your air.
Riding him is unhurried, and punctuated with sighs and your occasional whine, when he keeps you from speeding up. Taking time to be with one another feels like a luxury, and he's going to savor every second.
oml i canNoT stop thinking abt jay nearly losing the reader at some point. like literally them getting beaten up and/or held at gunpoint and jay just losing his fucking shit *cue nasty ass fight scene where reader manages to kick some1 in the balls) but oooooo imagine the lovemaking that ensues after that. jay has his hands all over them and he's all "jaanu i can't lose you" and hnghhhh
đ˘đ˘đ˘đ˘đ˘đ˘đ˘ TURN THAT SSHIT UPPPPP
I think the closest match I have on the menu at the moment would be THIS fic that I wrote back in 2020.
But like?? can you imagine. He's so mad at you that you didn't run when he said, and he's so desperate to feel you to make sure you're alright. I think the lovemaking has a little bit of a frantic energy to it, and Jay's gonna flip it and reverse it, and probably put his mouth everywhere.
deIf we're gonna get a little specific, I feel like maybe he'll have a fistful of your hair. He won't pull, he just needs to know it's you and you're there, and he'll ask if he can give it a tug, regardless.
