I just realized they both had fathers who took in boys they understood better than their own sons. Both fathers were bad dads and shouldn't have been bringing in more kids when they couldn't take care of the ones they had. Both Ben and Robert have little sisters who are a big annoying at times. Both went to prison for murder. Both from spur of the moment violence with an object. Both have a child from a one night stand. Lola will always be saintly in my eyes and I'm glad Rebecca's dead. They both scheme to get money. They both had boyfriends/husbands who try to get them to do the right thing while said boyfriend/husband isn't exactly squeaky clean themselves. But I also notice while Robert misses Andy, if Andy was living in the village they would fight all the time because that's what they do. However, Jay and Ben breath the same air. There is no Jay without Ben and there is no Ben without Jay. And now we have neither and I'm not a fan of that.

Honestly, before, I just wanted Ben to divorce Callum and just go on with his life being a dad to Lexi and not choose violence.

Because we have seen Ben do that before. Not that he wasn't brilliant at it, but it has been done. Plus, Ben has already been through so many dark fucked up moments. I want better for him, even with his marriage ending and losing his best friend.

Ben has been there before, and it has caused him a lot of pain, heartache, and problems that harm him in the long run.

But now, after seeing Callum acting so casually about cheating and being with someone other than Ben. And Jay is not being that bothered or upset on Ben's behalf. Also, bear in mind, Jay is Ben's longest, closest, and loving relationship to date. And yes, I'm including Ben's parents, siblings, and other family members.

What pain and harm would cause Ben and Lexi by Callum's actions. That Callum honestly didn't even seem that bothered by or even that guilty over. And Jay is more concerned about keeping Lexi than what this will do to Ben and Lexi.

I choose violence.

I almost want Ben to go Death Star on Callum and Jay...almost.

But that would make Ben the bad guy and Callum the innocent. Nah, I'd rather Ben come out of this on top and not resort to old ways. I'd rather he be smarter than he was before.

At least start with a divorce and moving on to a new life, as well as cutting Callum and Jay from his life. That would be something new and would be a massive change for Ben.

No Lola, no Jay, no Callum.

I'm still happy Lev and her didn't work out though. Sorry but they were just so boring together 🤷🏾‍♀️. However, with the introduction of Luke, my shipping antennas have shifted 👀

Plus Luke and Isla were giving off one of my favorite love tropes which is enemies to lovers. With the show renewed for season 3, I'm looking forward to them having a thing. But with the way season 2 ended, I'm gonna have to endure more of the Isla and Jay storyline 😭.

P.S. Isla and Marcus are still my crackship 🤭. They would be so hot together. Can they at least hook up just once or something? It doesn't even have to be a big of a deal for the characters Lol. Buuut....they could be the slow burn of the show you know. Especially now that he's on a forced retirement due to medical reasons. There's so much to play around with them. Just saying 😌

Jay can be her endgame or whatever, but like let her have fun until then pls 😄

Anyways, this show could run for 10 seasons I don't care. It's such a comfort show and literally takes one night to finish. Love it 😊
