And it's important to remember, Jay Briscoe truly did change.
The comments he made about the queer community were awful, can't and will never defend those comments.
But when these things happen, one theme is people wanting someone to grow as a person instead of deflect and make excuses to continue being shitty to a community. Jay took the harder path of those two.
He grew, and multiple unrelated sources have confirmed that he put that work in. He improved as a person, having people like Effy vouching for him making everyone in a locker room feel welcome, not being a homophobic prick.
And I think that should always count for something, everyone is capable of change but not everyone is willing to put in the time and work to make good on that capability to change.
