Bonus: Art the Clown clowning around:
thinking about how, despite jason saying multiple times all he wanted was to live at camp half blood with piper and leo, most of the fandom doesnt accept this. they will draw jason, write jason, all of it-- with a purple spqr shirt. even right next to piper and leo in orange camp half blood wear.
i raise you-- jason gets new camp half blood shirts, and leo and piper take his old spqr shirts.
leo would like using them to try to sneak into camp jupiter to see if he could fool anyone into thinking he's a member, even though he isn't fooling anyone. they're used as pj shirts, like those shirts you don't actually care about but still keep around for functional purposes. piper uses them as hair dying shirts for her cabin and/or when her cabin is asked to aide another cabin's hair dying. leo uses them as throwaway shirts, that he won't mind if they burn up while he's working in the forges.
a subtle little fuck you. the oppression, the straight and orderly little lines the shirts once stood for? now they're being worn by the "outlandish" greeks-- and some of the more chaotic of them, at that. misusing them-- wrinkling, staining, burning, infecting neat and orderly camp jupiter's mark with a mark of their own. transforming them, just as jason transformed when he turned his back on camp jupiter.

Everything Changes in the time it takes for Dick to pick up the phone.
Jason had been tortured by the Joker.
Dick runs back to Gotham, back in the city he grew up in to help his family heal.
And to make thing worse someone is following him.
“You didn’t come home last night.”
Dick jumps at the voice, nearly dropping the juice, surprised to see Bruce standing in the kitchen staring at him with a furrowed brow.
“Hey B.” Dick greets, setting the juice on the counter. “Are you okay? You’re not normally up yet?”
“Why didn’t you come home last night?” Bruce repeats, ignoring Dick’s question. “Did something happen?”
Dick opens his mouth, about to tell Bruce all about his run in with Tim, to ask if he’d heard anything about the Drakes recently. Then he takes a good look at Bruce and the question dies in his throat.
Dark circles carved deep into his face, scruffy unshaven face, gaunt cheeks, and worry clear in his dull eyes. Bruce had been worried about Dick, worried another son had just disappeared without a word. The guilt felt like it could swallow him whole.
“Patrol ran late.” Dick lies. “I ended up crashing at one of the safe houses.”
Jason Lives AU but Tim (Contributes-Absolutely-Nothing) Drake doesn't show up.
There is no reason for him to show up. Like. At all.
He doesn't need to be saved HES FINE. He is not being abused, neglected, or starved. He is completely FINE.
If Jason lives Batman won't "Need a Robin" and by the time Jason wants to graduate from Robin Damian will be there to take it.
Genuinely there is no reason for Tim Drake to be even mentioned in this kind of AU.
