A soundtrack that’s slightly reminiscent of Halloween in places. It’s minimalistic and chilling with another Carpenter theme that’s unforgettable. This is a special repress with the second record containing recently found film cues in 2013. If like me you love the film and the soundtrack completely, sitting through the second record is easy but for others (like my wife) it can be over long. Death Waltz outdid themselves with this deluxe version and it’s lovely to look at. There’s also ‘Drakes Gold’ and Blob mist versions which are nice but I preferred this but I will get the others in time. It’s another classic horror film and soundtrack combination that I can remember watching as a child in the late 80’s for the first time that’s always stuck with me.
