marshmallows were weird. they got white powder all over your fingers and were SQUISHY AND SOFT and so sickly sweet. not to mention STICKY. they’re kind of fun to throw though, which she does MANY TIMES when jane’s turned around from the cart that cj’s sitting in. her favorite technique is to bite one in half so it gets sticky, making it OH SO FUN for her target. jane’s so responsible, it’s rather ANNOYING. the fae girl plucking knives and other sharp things out of her hands as cj grabs them off the shelf, cj has half the mind to DIG HER NAILS into jane's wrist as she does so. but, she doesn’t. or, at least, NOT YET. she hadn’t minded voicing her dislike for jane in the past, the other seeming like the POSTER CHILD of everything auradon stood for. which, was everything cj hated. it’s sort of DIFFERENT NOW, though. everything is fucked up, EVERYONE IS FUCKED UP. they’re all just doing the best they can, now. cj’s not sure WHO she’s supposed to hate anymore. the two of them reach the section of the store marked ‘ check-outs ’ and cj knows those words WELL. she gets ready to get them both the fuck out of dodge, ready to run with AS MUCH in her arms as she could carry. she’s done this a million times before, and the pirate has NEVER gotten caught. only, jane doesn’t look like she’s doing the same. jane, instead, mimics the movements of EVERYONE ELSE in the store. and when she’s done moving everything from the cart, including the things in cj’s hands. cj’s far too CONFUSED to move to take them back, the look on her face showing it. the fae takes a TINY PLASTIC CARD and pushes it in a machine, pushes a few buttons that make a few noises. cj can’t help but think that this is a WEIRD AS HELL way to steal shit. “ what the fuck are you doing? ”
