New chapter for Jancy Week, Day 6: Domestic! It’s canon to my ongoing fic, This Love, but AU otherwise as I know Nancy and Steve will never get back together. (This Love is part of a series of fics that I started as a sequel to someone else’s fic - basically Nancy and Steve got married and had kids but she was having an affair with Jonathan the whole time… these fics are my way of explaining how this happened and what happened after… ENJOY!)

For day 6 of Jancy Week 2024, I made an AU moodboard where Nancy is a professional barrel racer and Jonathan is a reporter. The pictures are not mine. I found them on Google. All credit goes to the rightful owners. 

The year is 2012. Nancy Wheeler is a 21 year old from Sedalia, Colorado. She lives on Wheeler Ranch with her parents, Ted and Karen, her 18 year old brother Mike, and her 15 year old sister Holly. The ranch has been in the family for generations. When Nancy is not helping her parents and siblings run the ranch, she is a professional barrel racer. She owns a 4 year old black American Quarter Horse gelding named Shadow. 

21 year old Jonathan Byers just moved to Denver, Colorado from Helena, Montana. He is a reporter for The Denver Post. His boss gets him to interview Nancy. After the interview, Nancy and Jonathan get to know each other better and fall in love.
