Jan 16 - didn't do much today apart from dividing up some meat my brother had bought. One of the things he got was half of a large pork loin, around a 5lb length of it. So I cut it into roughly 3lb and 2lb pieces. The smaller I rubbed with honey and some of that juniper & allspice based rub my sister liked, then wrapped it in saran wrap and stuck it in the fridge to marinate overnight before I freeze it for future use. The larger piece I browned, and then set up in the crock pot to turn into pulled pork tomorrow.
Made dilly ground beef with egg noodles and peas for supper.
Jan 17 - made a pan of Nanaimo bars. Supper was BBQ pulled pork with potatoes and baked squash.
Jan 18 - ran a load of laundry. Made a vat of tomato vegetable sauce, divided it up and froze 3/4 of it. I'll be turning the remainder into soup tomorrow. Supper tonight was chili and rice.
