Happy Birthday to the late, great Jimmy Stewart, who would have been 117 years old today. Mr. Stewart, in his 62 year career, not only made some of the most magical movies of all time, he served as a pilot in WWII in the U.S. Army Air Forces. He retired no less than a Brigadier General. Thank you, Mr. Stewart, for everything you did for your fans and your nation.

Jimmy Stewart – wearing quite the chronograph – with Hedy Lamarr in a studio still from the movie “Come Live with Me,” released on January 29th 1941. Two months later Mr. Stewart was drafted and assigned to the Army Air Corps. On June 10 of that same year, Ms. Lamarr submitted a patent for “Radio Frequency Hopping” a system upon which all modern communication is based.
