💚 Obviously Eliza fell first. That's like the whole point. But what if Alex was just as taken aback by the sight of her as she was with him?? Like when she 'Tries to catch his eye from the side of the ballroom', he's trying to do the same with her? They just never look at the same time?? Ever so slightly out of sync, until Alex finally looks over at Eliza after Angelica mentions her, and they lock eyes for the first time!! They finally caught up to one another ❤️

🩵 Alex still fell harder though. That's non-negotiable. Let him feel a lil helpless too!! He loves Eliza so so much, she makes him feel weak in the knees!! Have him finish a conversation with her, say goodbye, and immediately go behind the nearest corner to giggle and kick his feet a lil at the thought of her!!

💚 Alex is pretty good at flirting, typically, except when it comes to Eliza. Sure he had the "If it takes fighting a war for us to meet it will have been worth it." thing, and yeah he has his moments with her, but generally he's too nervous and blushy to really say anything hehe

🩵 Eliza gets flustered fairly quickly whenever he is able to pull some flirting skills out of his ass, but most of the time when he tries and fails she just starts giggling because of how fucking adorable his attempts are

💚 OK UH PARENTING STYLES:

🩵 Eliza's slightly more on the overprotective side, especially when Philip and the other children started walking for the first times, though this lessened slightly with each child. She's overall very caring towards the kids and would 100% do anything for them, but she also worries about them quite a lot, typical parent stuff yknow

💚 Alex was uh. Much more carefree about parenting to start with? Like as they had more he got better at being the responsible parent as well as the fun parent, but he also never really knew true fear before going back to war and leaving Eliza and baby Philip behind... He tends to fluctuate between letting the kids do something a bit reckless (within reason obvs) and being scared shitless if they leave his side for too long lol

Ok this is just miscellaneous fluff now hehe

💚 Sometimes Alexander forgets to eat, or when he remembers he assumes he doesn't need to- Eliza brings him food when it's been exactly 6 hours since his last meal; Yes, she keeps track of when he eats, and he appreciates that so much because before her, no one really payed much attention to when he did or didn't eat, aside from maybe John, Laf and Herc- But she was the first to do it consistently

🩵 Eliza often struggles to get to sleep, but when she is sleeping she always stays asleep, unlike Alexander who sleeps at the drop of a hat and wakes up at least once every night- He likes to make sure she's asleep before he sleeps himself, so he'll read a book or do some work until she's definitely asleep. Then when she's sleeping he'll give her a lil kiss on the top of her head before going to sleep himself ❤️

💚 Both of them allow themselves to be vulnerable around the other in a way they don't with anyone else, with them trusting that the other will always be there to listen if needed

🩵 Eliza is Alexander's rock, she keeps him grounded and centred in reality; But Alexander is Eliza's heart, she feels complete when she's with him in a way that she doesn't without.

The children are their Suns though, the centre of their universes, their reasons for existing. No doubt about it.
