does anyone else feel like james doakes from dexter when they see online drama and come up with a theory that ends up being right

imagine one of your coworkers has something deeply fundamentally wrong with him. hes off putting and weird and downright creepy. everything he does is fake and uncanny, like he’s trying to imitate human behaviour. when you look into his eyes theres a certain light missing in them that makes him look empty. and youre the only person in your workplace, maybe even the entire world, who seems to notice it. everyone tells you they don’t know what you’re acting so hostile about. it becomes a sort of joke for your other coworkers, that youre so worked up over nothing, that this guy is so nice and unassuming. but you know. you know youre right. you know evil when you see it. even when the entire world tells you you’re wrong, you know youre the only person who sees the truth. and he knows you know, too. you can see it in the taunting curve of his plastic smile. and one day youre going to prove it. youre going to show everyone what he is. happened to my good friend sergeant james doakes

Not my usual type of post, but I gotta get my thoughts out. I just finished reading one of the Dexter books (second one) and I will never get the image of a yelling potato, or however it's phrased, out of my head. As far as engagement went, I think I actually preferred this one to the first one. I also understand why they didn't adapt this antagonist because I think it would have been too graphic even for a show about a serial murderer who kills serial murderers. Also, Doakes' first name in the book is Albert?
