These delicious jam bars are a delightful treat with a buttery oat crust and a sweet jam filling. They are perfect for snacks, breakfast, or dessert.
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 cup rolled oats. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed. 1 cup jam your favorite flavor.
Instructions: Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C. A 9x9-inch baking dish should be greased. Put the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl and mix them together. Add the butter cubes that have been chilled to the dry ingredients. You can use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the mixture until it looks like big crumbs. Spread 2 cups of the crumb mixture out evenly in the bottom of the baking dish that has been ready. This will make the crust. Mix the jam well and spread it out on the crust. Cover the jam layer with the rest of the crumb mixture. Put it in an oven that is already hot and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down completely before you cut it into bars. Serve these tasty jam bars and enjoy them!
