I've noticed that in the back of my mind as I play through msq on my characters, I always have associated elements for each of them which colors how they interact with their jobs and the world. And I was curious if this is something others do as well.
If so (or even if not) what elements do you associate with your characters?
I tend to assign 3 to each character. 2 on the usual spectrum, and astral or umbral.
For example, my mains would be;
Ki'to - Ice, Levin, and Umbral
U'lohi - Fire, Earth, and Umbral
Jaha'to - Levin, Earth, and Umbral
Florian - Wind, Water, and Astral
I'm just super curious at this point. Please, ramble in the reblogs, tags, or comments if you'd like!

This MiqoMarch is gonna be all about Jaha'to, my dragon-sworn Meracydian Keeper boy.
Though he lived most of his life in the Third Astral Era, he stole away into Dalamud in pursuit of the primal Bahamut. And after a 5000 year stasis, he began his journey in earnest in the Black Shroud after emerging from the wreckage of the red moon.

I realized I never posted Jaha's Azem. Meet Herakles. Word of Azem, traveling monster hunter, friend to the people of Etheirys, and a right pain in Emet-Selch's ass.
Been sorting out Jaha's lore a bit more lately, so he's gotten an update as far as his scales & eyes go. (Also, enjoy the sneak peek of the SB look)
Close-ups:
Full lore under the cut, but tldr; Jaha is Meracydian, specifically of the time of the Allagan invasion, and swore his sword (or in his case, polearm) to Tiamat. As she was the first of Middy's brood he'd been bound to, his scales now reflect that allegiance being the color of her own.
Full Jaha'to lore for those curious:
Jaha was born to a tribe of Meracydian Miqo'te back in the later years of the Third Astral Era. As he grew, he became fascinated by the dragons of the region, the Great Wyrms especially. And that fascination later grew into reverence.
By the time he was nearly 30 summers old, he had become a formidable fighter, and a tracker of some renown. After the first attack from the Allagans, he came before Tiamat to pledge his skills to her in the coming battles. An oath she did oblige, and in so doing granted him a mote of her strength.
He fought fiercely until Bahamut was felled, and in that moment he was wracked with grief. His but also not.
He was there when Tiamat made the choice to bring her beloved back as a primal, having taken part himself. But being Echo-blessed, he was the only one to escape tempering. And having seen what they had wrought, he vowed to undo their mistake.
When Bahamut was interred in Dalamud, he stole away against Tiamat's wish into the lesser moon, intent on finding a way to end it. Instead, he was captured and put into stasis with the rest of their brood. Until Bahamut broke free in the recent Calamity.
His holding was within the shard that lodged itself into the Black Shroud, and when the battery was no longer sufficient to hold his stasis, he stumbled out into the forest not knowing which way was up.
After many days of being lost, he found himself among gatherers from a local Keeper tribe. A kind matron took him in after hearing his (understandably unbelievable) story, naming him her second son. He lived among them for a few summers, but all the while the thought of his mission gnawed a hole through him. And when he'd had enough, he left to pursue an adventurer's life in Gridania.
------------
Needless to say, I'm excited to see his reactions to Coils, Azys Lla, and really any other Allagan and voidsent nonsense. (In fact, I'm tempted to run back through the CT quests)
