So you know that the only way to make it through is to just buy all the bullshit. Because the alternative is just way too fucking hard.

I’ll never be over how even while being abducted, interrogated, and tortured, Emily continued talking to both Pete and Jade the way a mom would because deep down she knew they were just kids who were once victims.
It takes such an immeasurable kindness to look past what’s being done to you through the frustration and pain to be able to say and do the things that Emily did. Not to mention how she basically blackmailed the director into making sure Pete and Jade received proper therapy and a deal despite what they did.
Oh nothing, just two girlie pops who have been through way too much this season :)))
So you know? I do.
the words “or some man is done holding you down” echo through my head about 4 times a day. i’m sorry did the cme writers just expect me to move on from that? i’m sick to my stomach

Am I the only one who noticed the slip of Emily admitting she's been SA'd before? When Jade said "Do you know that feeling... when you're staring up at the ceiling and you're thinking, 'What if it's all bullshit?'. Maybe it's after a preacher's sermon, or your dad yelling at you or-"
Emily finishes her sentence for her and says, "Or some man is done holding you down."
She says it with so much empathy and the look on her face says she knows exactly what Jade went through. I know she had the undercover "relationship" with Ian Doyle, and that could be what she's referring to. (Her relationship with him wasn't consensual. She was playing a part, and even though they implied she did garner some feelings for him later down the line, she became physical with him because of her job and mission. They said it was her idea to become romantically involved with Doyle to get information but that doesn't mean she ever consented to sleeping with him. It was simply a part she had to endure as a means to an end.) I wonder if that's what's she is referring to or if something else happened.
Prentiss has always been my safe character and this just cements it even further. I hope we see Jade again. And Peter. They were victims in this and I can see Prentiss wants to help Jade.
Trying to make Voit a sympathetic unsub when Jade Waters is RIGHT THERE
This has got to be one of the most powerful scenes in Criminal Minds. It's almost too real.
